Beaumont Rag

An old song called Beaumont Rag.


My stepdad just bought a new "Silver Creek" guitar for $250. We were all sitting around the house messing around with it when I decided to go grab a camera. Here is my stepdad Chuck trying out the Silver Creek, and my sister Amanda playing her lil guitar.

What mods did you make to the guitar? I've read that the SC's have lots of QC issues, even though they are solid wood. Great picking, by the way...

I'm looking for a good guitar (under $400 or so) for bluegrass any suggestions?

Hey, thanks for the compliments. No modifications were made to the guitar, these vids were made a few minutes after they took it out of the box. I don't know what's became of the guitar since these videos (any problems or whatever) because I have since moved away. The only thing I remember about it was that the action was really high, and pretty uncomfortable. It sounded great though, especially for having no set up at all. Great guitar for the price.

They are sold by Musician's Friend and made in the same factory as the Carolina Johnsons and the Recording King guitars. The Silver Creek guitars have rave reviews and are all solid wood just like the Carolina Johnsons and the RK's are.

@BJ1047 definately the blue ridge br60 is one of the best guitars out for around 400 dollars. Just you tube it and you can hear a really good guitarist playing all of his songs on it.
