These 2 bucks came in to the new rack trap I just put out. It was only out about 10 hours before they ate out of it! Rack traps and cameras available at www.gobblintoms.com
@jmorrowbel the deers antlers get knocked off by the trap when the stick their head in to eat. Their antlers are loose and just need a little bump to fall off.
@jmorrowbel When the antlers are ready to fall off (deer antlers fall off painlessly every year during the winter), the bucks can eat out of this. When the antler catches on the bungee, and the antler is ready to come off, it knocks the antler off easily without harming the buck.

I take it you wait and put out these traps late winter? or does it matter? the rack sheds whenever it's ready to.

why is it called a rack trap? do you catch deer when their racks get caught in there? (pardon my ignorance!)
