Thank you for the advice. You're right, the strings were old but it's not my guitar, i only borrowed it for a week, so i can't change the strings.

Which VST effects do you use?

I used a pitch shifter, called pvtransp, and the fruity compressor plugin.
With a JCM900 VST plugin you could give some distortion too.

Yeah I use the 900 already. Thx alot this was very helpful because I'm writing songs and I don't have a bass yet xP
