I have an Eldon Bowl-A-Matic®,
I originally got one for Christmas at age 4 in 1962.
It didn't take me long to break it, as it had this annoying habit of seizing up in the pin reset crank.
Many years later, I bought one from a Chicago toy store for $515. I used it a few times, and then ...
... you guessed it. Pin reset crank seized up :(

I love it. But I think the kid with the train set in the pool was later electrocuted.

I always wanted one of those miniature bowling lanes. This film really takes me back to my youth! Thanks Ira.
If you look at the cover of the Popular Mechanics issue at the :52 mark, you'll see that the actual date is November 1962, (not 1959).
