@Portocala15 Let's not get into politics. I hate it when that happens. As I stated before, I highly doubt that conditioning one's children to want children even exists nowadays. Except I suppose in third world countries where part of wealth amounts to how many sons you produce.
Children are cute when they're little, and raising a child from pregnancy to handing them to their husband/bride is an indescribable experience. Some people want that experience and some don't. It's normal.

They wouldn't have to do episiotomies if they didn't make women lie on their backs to give birth. If she gave birth in any other position, it would significantly decrease episiotomy rates, but everything is about convenience for the doctor, not the health or well being of the mother.

@LeBaoBeatha If it's unexpected and unwanted, it can be taken care of easily. Or not so easily, if you live in the US...
I was, fortunately, not conditioned by my family. I knew from an early age that I didn't want kids.
But I agree wholeheartedly that adoption is wonderful for people who want children. It's selfish to create new humans when there are so many kids waiting to be adopted. That was my point the whole time.

@Portocala15 I don't think that's the reason at all. Delusions of children being a necessary accessory to one's life certainly aren't the main cause of birth rates in this country. Pregnancy occurs in three ways; unexpectedly, by chance, or by wanting and trying for. Maybe you were "conditioned" or so your parents tried and failed, but I'm pretty sure you're an an isolated event if you were. Adoption is a wonderful idea though; my father was. n__n

@LeBaoBeatha Haha, I had no idea my comment made top comments, thanks for the heads-up! xD
No, people don't wake up thinking "I have to give birth/impregnate someone", they are conditioned from a young age to want children whether they like it or not, whether they would make good parents or not. It is considered socially unacceptable to not want children or to not coo over every baby. This is very dangerous in our massively overpopulated world.
Adopt. It's that simple.

@Portocala15 People haven't "just bought into" it. They want kids, so they have them. Nobody wakes up in the morning thinking, "Well there's no other option. I'll have to give birth one way or another one of these days." I know plenty of people who have, since they were young girls, decided that they don't want children. Unfortunately, I also know many women who want children desperately but cant have them. My cousin after trying for 10 years had to have her ovaries removed. Cancer.

WHY DO PEOPLE HAVE CHILDREN OH MY GOD.

@itsmyaeroplane87 I'm childfree too. :3 People have just bought into the life script, they think they have no choice but to have kids, so of course they want to deny all these horrors. And then they complain about their ruined bodies...
