  • I BADLY need help! i have a sand blaster that i had bought from Harbor Freight and since you seem to know more about this than i probably do. my question is you think a sand blaster will help remove my decal and stickers off my fairings? I'm having all the fairings repainted(whole bike). blow drying Does Not take off a big chunk off at a time. I've tried for hours! I don't want to spend a whole lot on this project beside the paints. You have any suggestion on the easiest way to remove them?

  • @saflip969 Yeah, you should be fine to use a sand blaster. Just be careful not to let it abrade the plastics too much. You should be fine on the tank though.

  • Finished the paint job. Uploading the final video now. Thanks for your vid and take care.

  • @Gixxer600boy Awesome! Have a great riding season!

  • What kind of paint did you use for your gun? (also what psi) I am going to paint my bike come spring, and was wondering if i use metal primer for the gas tank and front fender, and use plastic primer for the plastics, can I use the same paint for both if i rough up the primers before hand? Oh and the color, of course

    thanks Dan

  • @Nighthawk750rr Use the primer that matches the material you are putting it on. Then you should be pretty open to using the same paint on both types of primer. In the section below this video, I have put a link to a document you may download which has all of the info on the materials I used, as well as locations where you can buy them.

  • hey there, great video, just wondering what kind of compressor you need for the spray gun, how many cfm does it need? Is the paint you used just a regular single stage paint? what happens if your paint runs in 2nd or 3rd coat, do you just wait for it to dry, sand and then reattempt the layer? Thanks!

  • this video was put together very well
