@Rangersleadtheway233 (Cont.) Last, the thing that killed it for me was the final battle. 1. Why did they fly their planes and helicopters into the one place their targeting systems won't work? 2. Why did they fly the bomber SO FREAKING SLOW. It was almost asking the Na'vi to win. 3. The forces on the ground served no purpose. and 4th WHY DID THEY NOT JUST DROP THE BOMBS FROM UP HIGH WHERE THE BIRD THINGS COULD NOT REACH THEM? Anyway if I am missing something or you disagree, feel free to reply

@Rangersleadtheway233 (Cont.) They were so contrived and forced that they were hard to watch without laughing at them. That is what takes away from the story and why everyone thinks it is bad, it these forced side characters that are supposed to add to the plot, but end up taking away from it because of how poorly written many of the humans and Na'vis were.

@Rangersleadtheway233 (Cont.) But then you have the bad elements. The story, not so much the originality, but the way it was done. The whole movie I felt manipulated, that i was supposed to like the Na'vi or I'm just some racist white guy. They were made to look so pretty and harmonious with nature that they were the ones that everyone was supposed to relate to and like. I also didn't care for the stereotypical, white military leader, the corporation owner, or the scientists.

Here's my take on it. You can bitch all day about the the story, but that wasn't really what was bad about it. First of all, the entire world that James Cameron made really kicked ass, and the acting was pretty damn good for what they were given and told to portray. I really liked the human technology and just how it seemed very real and possible, even the whole consciousness swapping thing with the avatar bodies. The whole way it was put together was really big and looked awesome.

@SuperMatthias24 no we can't, it is a worthless piece of crap produced by a system concerned more with profit than with artistic values

@vipercobra451 Okay, but enjoyable doesn't mean it isn't overrated. Call of Duty may be enjoyable, but does that mean it isn't overrated? No, Call of Duty is a shit stain in the face of gaming.
I'm fucking sick of people saying Avatar sucks or its overrated. Its like listening to a 5 year old complaining about what candy they do or dont want.Avatar is an amazing experience, not perfect, but very enjoyable on its own terms.
