http://www.premierguitar.com PG's Joe Coffey is On Location in Anaheim, CA, for the 2010 NAMM Show where he visits the Taylor Guitars booth. In this segment, we get introduced to several new products that will be released fully for Taylor during 2010.

First up, the 8-string baritone, which has a truly unique voice, the 8-string baritone GS complements the baritones lower tonal range by pairing two octave strings with the third and fourth strings, adding a touch of upper-octave brightness without too much 12-string jangle. The result is a guitar with incredible tonal range, perfect for walking basslines and rich melodies. It features a solid Sitka spruce top and Indian Rosewood back and sides.

Next, we get to check out the Jason Mraz Signature Nylon model and the Dave Matthews Signature 914ce custom model with "Grux" inspired inlays.

Lastly, we get to check out some offerings from the Taylor Build to Order section. These guitars are one-off creations built by the Taylor upon request from direct buyers through the website or for dealers who wish to keep some BTO models in their stores.

  • The baritone 8-string really reminds me of the goo goo dolls iris. It just adds to that complex sound. The Mraz is kind of cool, but it's mostly just looks I'd rather get a custom taylor ns74ce with a koa top. I wish they would sell Colbie Caillat's koa guitar.

  • Thanks for posting this, very nice.

  • @satelliteradio711 OH!!!! MY!!!!! GOD!!!!

  • How does it costs? a guitar like that? sounds WONDERFULL!!!!!

  • 10:03 some prick stole the baritone!

  • thats not how i remember nam

  • @unknow75 The curve acts as a comfy armrest so when you're strumming the corner on the top of the guitar doesn't dig into your arm.

  • I didn't understand the website Bob said about the curve on the 12 fret model on 06:59. Did anybody get it?

  • the nylon is SWEET

  • Awesome.
