I followed this video but my GIMP works differently. Selecting the guide and then rotating - only the selection rotated. To rotate the whole image it is not necessary to do any selecting but then there is no guide line - a feature I liked in the video. Comments??

Since I know a bit about gimp, i can follow him. But for someone who knows nothing about the gimp program, this would seem overwhelming! First you need to explain the interface, how to open dialog boes etc... then you need to explain how the different tools work. These techniques are something that comes later, not (in my opinion ) great for a first gimp tutorial.
