Edirol sounds too defined and a bit choppy on the strings.

For the tiny tiny size in comparison to EastWest and other similar sound libraries, Edirol is astounding. Edirol is a fraction of the filesize and CPU requirements of other sound libraries, yet still sounds very nice for a composer on a budget. Not everybody can drop thousands of dollars on their first sets of libraries, Edirol really puts up a good fight, even though EastWest outperforms it. Pompous music snobs a plenty in here. I have years of theory knowlege, but I don't hold it over people

I prefer the Edirol orchestral sounds better for my taste XD

Fantastic arrangements on that first piece segment; Clearly much better sounding.

Edirol is so much smaller than EastWest though! I would love to have EWQL, but my laptop's hd certainly would not.
-
well he is not, because the creator of cinematic strings composed this

With the strings, I honestly couldn't really hear a difference... except for the fact that you could have lowered the volume on the Edirol bit. If you want to do a fair side-by-side comparison, you need to have both programs at their best.
