My name is Gavin Bottrell. My company is Timewarp Golf. I have been collecting antique golf clubs and balls since 1995 and I regular play golf with antique hickory shafted clubs. This short video was taken by my 7 year old son. I'm hitting a couple of replica feathery balls with a replica 1850 long nose driver, and comparing the distance with that achieved with a replica gutty ball and a modern ball.

  • how much would you sell a feathery for?

  • I would like to see a video that shows how you make the ball. Then I can get started trying too.

  • I would love to play with a truly wooden club and a feathery/featherie ball. It seems so organic. I still have my old 3 wood I got for Christmas as a teenager, it was actually made of wood, it still is beautiful. Modern Titanium alloy clubs, composite balls etc are fine, but it would be lovely to try a replica and see what it felt like. Thanks for posting.

  • That must have taken time to make those balls and clubs. It's good to see someone in the spirt of the game. I enjoy the game's history as well. Great video.

  • thanks for posting!!!!
