Tai Chi principles can be applied to grappling. Matter of fact learning how to control energy makes ground fighting much easier.

  • could you post other videos of kung fu ground work and a video of a kung fu fighter defeating a jiujitsu fighter

  • Nice MMA video!

  • im sure he wouldnt care

  • Why would you want to fight him?

  • gespilk, if you can breathe the "mystical energy" is literally right there. If one has awareness they can feel their own energy at any point of ones body where awareness is focased....

    energy follows awareness.

  • hmmmmm.......

I might be heading to this part of the US in several months....

I wonder if he is ballsy enough to accept a fight??????

  • soo true

  • For years I have been searching for the mystical "Energy" of Tai Chi used in combat. I could say NOW that if it exists it is only available to few naturally gifted people. Most of us do not have it in sufficient quantities to be combat useful.

What we can have is this:

    (1) Newtons Laws - speed, acceleration, momentum, timing, etc.

    (2) Understanding of biomechanics, biochemistry - structure, function, movement, reaction time, recovery, etc.

    (3) Psychology - tactics, mind set, plan, etc.

  • apparently you don't understand the modern understanding of the fight since you only see what you see and not the energy behind the principle of tai chi.

  • If that what Tai Chi Principles Used In Ground Fighting is I must be the master of Tai Chi Ground Fighting.

Very disappointing video. For a long time I have been looking for a complete modern system of Tai Chi Ground Fighting and all there is are ways of taking the opponent to the ground from standing position. Tai chi FORM is so outdated. It has to be revisited through the modern understanding of the fight.
