I've reached my goal and did so in under 100 hours, all without using dustia (of which I find too risky). My newest techniques are shown first thing, followed by what other things are like, a hunt in particular (flowering cactoid). In other segments, I show the full clearing of the license board from having practically nothing gained, with Penelo. Various boss fights follow shortly after - notice how the boss' life bar drops faster than it initially fills.... I've deleted story-related elements out, and focused entirely on the effects of having level 99 before first getting Penelo and afterwards. Note the amount of experience Balthier and Fran start with. Try getting that much experience within 100 hours in any other way you can!

  • i beat the pharos go to henne mines with double exp and get to level 99 in 10 hours rather then 70, had a total of 49 hours on my game with everything :)

  • I used the Negalmuur go to bed and wake up 99 method.

  • @ulillillia well considering i did a similar thing with icthon .. then yes.

  • The 70-hour method is definitely the best, but it comes with a very troubling downside - the extreme repetition required is enough to steer most anyone away early. 2 1/2 hours to get level 99 from starting 98 is no joke.... I am remaking the video detailing this process (the one I currently have is highly inefficient and quite out of date). I'm level 66 right now with still under 20 hours on the game clock, for comparison.

  • @ulillillia i believe i found it.... let me see here... 70 hour one probably is the best one :P

  • I can't give links in video comments. Can't you just go to GameFAQs, click on "all systems", "Playstation 2", "Final Fantasy XII" in the top 10 games list, click "FAQs", then click "powerleveling guide". There's two present, mine is the one without the star though unique in that it focuses on being as early as absolutely possible while also being fast. In the remake, I'm level 66 with 20 hours on the game clock and I know where I lost 2 hours' worth (no, dustia isn't involved).

  • @ulillillia could you link it?

(if it works as is, then its fine :P)

  • While I don't have a video that really explains it directly, the guide is on GameFAQs - see "powerleveling guide". There are still a few things that need to be ironed out in that guide, but I'll get at that once I finish making the video - it won't be until quite a bit into September by the time I finish, if I actually do finish.

  • @ulillillia may i see this method? or link the faq to me...?

i am going to try to do this to lv to 99 so i can get the characters at lv 99 when i start recruiting them from the start ahhahahahah

  • I earned it via the 70-hour method. It's doable in 70 hours without dustia, maybe 60 with dustia. My guide on GameFAQs explains it. I'm also working on remaking the video series on how to get level 99 fast & early - it uses an inefficient method. The new method is already much faster - level 35 in 10 1/4 hours after clearing Nalbina Dungeons, 13 levels (from 22 to 35) in only 2 1/2 hours. This remake will also cover the 70-hour method and getting the game's near-best equipment too.
