  • Is it double vision or are these twins and only about 10-11 years old? I cannot conceive of youngsters this age playing so well!

  • At that concert they were 13 years old

  • Well, the problem with virtuosic players at a young age is the fact that when they grow older, they all too often stop improving. You can really tell with Julian Bliss. However good a clarinetist he is, he is now just the same as regular clarinetists his age, with maybe a few exceptions. When they are young their technical skills tend to shine through because there are not many people who can play so well at such a young age.

With that said, I thought it was a good performance. I am impressed.

  • their father is principal clarinet, one of the most unbelievable musicians i know. the twins have improved tremendously since this performance.

  • amazing

  • there only thing cooler than getting identical twins to play a duet, would probably be....i dunno....siamese twins?

  • What the hell do they feed them over there?!?! Then again, this kind of musicianship just isn't found in 99% of young people in the USA.

  • Cute...the bowing at the end kills me. Good playing though for 13.

  • First, the nitpicking:

1-Krommer wrote more than one Concerto for Two Clarinets. This is the E-Flat, Op.35

2-This is end of the first movement, but

3-This performance is modified (simplified). However...

enough nitpicking. First off, if they're 13, I have no complaint about the mild simplification. Second off, that is damn impressive, damn impressive. I'd love to see more of them in the future. They're what, 17 now? If they were that good at 13, I can't imagine how they are now.

  • oh my god. They are identical! and amazing... they make me feel bad! But they are so great!!!!
