how to replace the striker spring i know alot of yall might dis agree with changing this spring because the gun does not have a safty and there is not really much diffrence as far as that all tho it does help the trigger pull a little bit i could feel the diffrence as well in length of pull as testing it with a trigger guide i know yall say it dosent but the way this gun is built it does iv tested it i also polished several of thos peices also making the trigger pull shourter and much smoother

  • @FMJPatriot Agreed! Bought a used SW9VE from a friend who did this mod and it has failure to fire due to soft primer strikes while using import s&b 9mm shells (harder primers). The lighter trigger mod springs are inside the grip area of the pistol not the slide.

  • DO NOT REPLACE THIS SPRING!!! It will lead to soft primer strikes (failure to fire). The "trigger job" springs are located in the frame (handle) not the slide.

  • Hey bro, I did this to my sigma and its awesome. I want to do a video on how to work with the trigger. Including striker spring/polishing/trigger work and wanted to list you in it so my viewers can use you as a reference. So I would like to set my video (once I do it) as a response to yours. Let me know if thats ok.

  • I've viewed different ways to lighten the trigger pull on these pistols by taking out two springs inside the trigger housing. Have you done this as well or did you just do this? I contacted S&W and they don't offer any services to lighten the trigger but the guy said that Wolff made this spring for it. Kind of skeptical about doing either.
