In western Kenya, the HIV/AIDS crisis has devastated families, leaving behind many orphans. St. Luke's, one of our oldest community-based partners in Kenya, has taken in many children. Self-sustainability is key, and St. Luke's has numerous income-generating activities: fish farming, brick making, rice farming, and grain grinding. The 1010 Project provided funding in partnership with the Vista Hermosa Foundation to kickstart and expand some of these activities.
