  • i still remember going to preschool when i was small not speaking english at all, and my teacher she was the most kindful person, she always spent more time with me and taught me so well, now im a college student if only i could thanks her

  • This was so good I had to watch the entire documentary. I remember watching parts of this when I was a little kid. It was amazing to see Hmong people this way. We always hear our parents talking about their early experiences in America and to get a glimpse of what it was really like brings tears to my eyes. I wonder where this family is now?

  • The newcomers have it so easy these days...they don't get to suffer like the ones that came here in the late 70's and early 80's....

  • Couple of years ago, I was visiting Sacramento and while sitting at a bench, a white kid starts making these sounds. ching ching chang...etc. I turned around and said, "I speak pretty good English." lol, his father heard me and he was shocked like he never seen an Asian speak perfect English.

  • Why would u want to watch something about Hmong gangs? They do nothing for our community.

  • @madskillz2014 therte is gang land : ] about MOD

  • I think there should be a documentary about Hmong Gangs.

  • Enjoyed the documentary. I wish there were more documentaries on the Hmong. They are an interesting group of people. When the leader of the Hmong spoke at the park picnic I was surprised he didn't mention there was a large population of Hmongs in Central California (Merced, Fresno) or Sacramento. I guess it is because this documentary is a bit outdated. Regardless, it was an interesting depiction about the family's journey in America.

  • This really bring back memories the clothe we wear, taught how to speak English, stereotype, raciest, and so on.

  • Is* and our*.

  • Thank you so much for sharing these videos! Seeing a video its much more different than hearing stories about or struggles!

  • I still feel bad for our own race, i see that now there are people out there still want more than one wife. Hating on one another at work putting one down and wanting to be the lead. It is so sad to see our own people like this. I think we are cursed...
