„Only in the leap from the lion's head will he prove his worth."

*~*~*~*

"Aki el mer ugrani az oroszlán fejétől, bizonyítja érdemességét."
Az összes rész közül ez a kedvencem, ezen belül is a 3. próba.
Csak egy kis kameramozgás... ;-)

I remember seeing this in the theatres in 1989 and how EVERYONE gasped at this scene, said "cool!", and was just mystified by it! This scene is always right before a commercial when shown on TV. This scene NEVER gets old! Awesome effects for its day and still holds up.

Yes, I do understand. My point is that you can enjoy this scene based on "faith" WITHOUT trying to convince others what "faith" to believe in. Yes, the scene is set up from a Christian perspective (using the holy grail, etc) but I believe NON Christians can enjoy this scene as well. Just having faith is all that is needed. Faith in a particular religion is irrelevent

Um, you do realize that faith (mostly a religious concept) is the *entire* point of this scene (and arguably, the most prominent theme of the movie), right? Why don't you shut up instead of trying to silence others? I'm not saying YouTube is the best place for a serious doctrinal discussion, but faith is a pretty basic concept that doesn't require much explanation.

I remember watching this as a kid, just so mystifying to watch, movies like that just don't hold that same magic anymore.

The name of the place is Petra, Greek for Rock, it is thousands of years old and has roots in old testament history. The religious aspects are a big part of this place hence in the movie.

tell me about it movies nowadays are just full of special affects with no real plot. People do not have that reaction anymore.

Why can't this ''bridge'' actually be kind of magical. I mean it wouldn't be the first time Indy came accros something that isn't rationally possible.

Not as good as the first, but still better than a lot of what comes out of Hollywood these days.

Am I the only one bothered by the fact that this only works on one angle and not all the other ones shown (e.g. 0:25 or 0:47)? Or am I missing something?
