University of Iowa Environmental Coalition Student Garden First-Ever Greenhouse Pull!

This is the first pull on the greenhouse after re-rigging our pulley system. Originally we set up a block and tackle system with 4 pulleys on each side of the greenhouse. We used old climbing rope which stretched a lot and ended up not being able to properly gauge just how much rope we needed in between pulleys to get a good pull. One of our volunteers, John suggested we just use two pulleys instead, allowing us to get the rope stretched and at least put some force on the system...it worked! Here you can see the greenhouse moving along at a pretty good clip with 4 or 5 people on each side.
