This is a cut from "Standing Room Only" (Produced by Allan Main and Hugh Thomas in 1978), It features Rabbit Bartholemew and Larry Bertlemann, two of the best soul surfers from the 70's. I've put a background track of Eric Johnson, Steve Vai and Joe Satriani covering Jimi Hendrix's Red House.

Larry I tried to call your number from Sydney a couple times but got your answering machine "hey its LB..." etc. It's cool. This vid reminds me of the time before surfing turned into a circus. Mark Richards just did an interview in Australia where he commented that even he could get no respect whatsoever, that people wouldn't even give "their own mother" a wave these days and he didn't know what kind of monster the era of professionalism had created. I have skated most my life and learned that tricks are for kids, its not what you do its how you do it. The way i see it the term "style" has faded out of the skate world for the most part. Living on the east coast and being part of a tight nit crew, much like dog town was back then we are about raw style and street skating. @stokakrishnadas OMG u noe larry omg i only noe his mom shes my hawaiian studies teacher at kalakaua intermidiate we made a surfboard out of cardboard for him when he recently hurt his hip......so yah im pretty good friends with his mom cause she found out that i surf so she gave me like a bertlemann ring or their family ring or something so yah ho your so lucky u know him
