ANSWER TO COMMON QUESTIONS:
1. Does it come with Crysis?
Answer: no.
2. What is the song?
Answer: Rain in Paradise by DJ lonelyboi
3.What cpu do you have that is possibly bottlenecking this card?
Pentium D 820 (what, do you think i'm rich?)
4. I notice in your youtube channel that you have a video with an AMD athlon 5200+. Why not put the card in that computer?
Answer- its 10.5 inches long- not gonna fit
5. Is it overclocked?
Answer: see screenshot above
6. Why did you buy it at a store?
Came with rebate and I didn't have to pay shipping. Cheaper than online.
7. What is the minimum PSU (power supply unit) rating for this card?
Answer: according to the box, its a 475 watt power supply with a minimum of 26 combined 12v rail amps
8. Have you heard about the Ati 4850?
Answer: Yes, I chose this over it because it runs cooler, most review sites show the 9800 GTX+ to be marginally faster on most games, and it overclocks higher.
9. Why BFG? Why not EVGA, XFX, etc?
Answer: At the store where I bought it (Fry's Electronics), the majority, if not all of the cards with nvidia GPUS were made by BFG. Also, I have never had any problems with my previous BFG product (7950 GT), so I trust their quality.
IF YOU HAVE ANY MORE QUESTIONS PLEASE ASK ME

My new video card! It's going to be bottlenecked by my ancient cpu, but I see much improvement in framerates anyway.
Specs: (note that this is factory overclocked, but was the same price as the stock cards, so I got this anyway)
Core clock: 760 Mhz
Stream Processors: 128
Memory Clock: 2250
Memory Size: 512 MB GDDR3
Direct X version: DX-10 (not 10.1 though :(
HDCP and dual link dvi ready, though I only have a VGA LCD and will never be able to afford a HDTV in the near future, so I don't really care.

What I think of it so far:
well I can max out any game I want on my 19" LCD with what I call playable framerates (I have a very high tolerance for lag, anything 25 FPS or higher is fine with me). The only think I'm not happy about is my CPUmark06 score, er I mean 3Dmark06, but who cares about a number anyway?

  • u could've gotten an ati card that is cheaper and faster than the 9800gtx......well atleast nvidia is well built.

  • @xy274

I bought this in August 2008.. there was no cheaper equivalent ati card. The only one was the 4850 (at that time they were around $180), and that was slower, hotter, and had less features (physx, cuda, etc). Besides, this came with a rebate so it ended up being cheaper as well.

  • @anonymous345 well what card do u have now?

  • @xy274

still using the same one on this video

  • how good is their customer services/support?

  • @coakisit

I don't know I never had to deal with customer support, no problems at all

  • @94svenni Yeah, i noticed after i posted that it was pretty old lol

  • @snake10566 yea it was the temp i just yoused compressed air gun to clean all the dust inside my computer, the dust maked the cpu and all of the computer to overheat so thats why the veeping souunds where there to tell me that its overheating i think. thx for the information but you are a little late:P

  • @94svenni check your temps. Also, the beeping sounds is probably a code. If you find the book for your motherboard you can find what the code is saying. I use 'core temp' to see my cpu temps but you can also find them in the bios.

  • @anonymous345 To this day I am still running this card. I like it, and it runs games I play without a problem.
