I say it's ok to improvise. Just give the piece a different title, like Danse de la Chevre Heureuse ...

This is very different from other preformences that I've heard with this piece, and even how I myself play it.
But you have a beautiful sound and tone! Absolutly lovely <3

great playing :)

This sounds really amazing! Congratulations on such a beautiful performance!

This is more like "Improvisation on Themes by Honegger" than Danse de la Chevre, but you definitely sound confident in your interpretation and do it well.

the liberties you took with the melody work nicely. very good work!

You have a great tone and an excellent thought on how this piece should be played. I commend you in that you took a stance and stuck with it through the performance and did it quite well. However, a great many flautists may not agree. You take quite a few liberties in the melodic line that are probably not going to be widely accepted. I say this strictly as a teacher, knowing what the grading standards are like...as a listener...great job. You play well and have a good performance. Kudos.

Lovely sound! I enjoyed your interpretation. However, there comes a point when what you are doing is improvising instead of playing a pre-composed work. If I had not learned this piece as well, I might have had a hard time recognizing it. You made wonderful music, but it is not what Honegger wrote or intended. Just a thought. Take it with a grain of salt.
