You'll never see a movie where they show drunk Alexander burning Persiapolis as his soldiers raped left & right. DO YOU SEE A MOVIE MADE ABOUT HIM RECENTLY? I DON'T THINK SO! I died a little when "Alexander" came out but "300" absolutely killed me. You are very smart and not to mention cute but I disagree with what you said. Clearly, there were many theatrical exaggerations, but it's a movie, has to fit a certain time format, be entertaining (thus profitable). Iran *does* care about it's Persian heritage. In fact the name Iran is relatively new and less than a century ago (1935) it was still called Persia (post Ottomon Empire). The language they speak is Parsi (bastardized as Farsi by Arabs who have no letter p) with a distinct vocabulary.
