  • Hello there, very interested in your video, we (JazzAppleRecords) host a series of apple challenges for our upcoming book of records. Check out our channel for some examples, we are trying to get as many challenges as possible together.

We would love for you to compete, make your own challenge, e.g how many apples can you slice in a minute or perhaps you want to have a go at beating some of our current ones. Just post us a video response if you are interested!

    Good work with the sword!

  • @JazzAppleRecords I am very interested in competing in the Jazz apple records challenges. I can throw two apples in the air and slice each one before hitting the ground and am working on three apples. I will send a video response of me doing this. what are some of the other records involving swords and apples?

  • Cool, what model of the zatoichi sword is this one?

  • Museum replicas high carbon steel.

  • If it's the 150+ bucks one, I'm getting the same. Is it (it's a hanwei sword)? Have you tested it on more solid materials? Wondering if the sword is well made.

But most of all, please answer this question: can this be used as a walking stick? I've heard the scabbard didn't hold that well, is it true? Thanks.

  • I think I paid 185.00. I have only cut apples with this sword and would not recomend cutting anything harder. the blade is well made but I worry about the handle. The blade doesnt feel like it is full tang and if you tried cutting bamboo or tatami mats it may cut fine but in time might break. as for the scabbard, unfortunately does not hold well enough to use as a walking stick. Great sword for any collection but just display or novelty. Every fan of Zatoichi would want one.
