It was a case of band mic-ing...we should have draped a mic directly over the PA as opposed to one mic in the middle of the room catching everything the rest of us drowned out singer Roger. That was the first time we all played the song all the way through together and Roger was actually pleased that he was drowned out as he was just learning how to phrase the song in his own style.
