DYB: So you want to be a Chair - what you need to know

Welcome to the Chairs Perspective Series of videos created by the Developing Your Board Project as a tool to assist chairs and directors of nonprofit boards better understand the role of Chair and the possible challenges faced in the role. The series includes a number of short videos looking at the key tasks of the chair, what makes a good chair, the positive difference a chair can make to their board and their organisation, as well as some direct advice from experienced chairs. Each video is made up of excerpts from interviews conducted with a number of chairs who between them have several years of experience in nonprofit boardrooms of small community-based organisations up to large national ones, and across different sectors such as health, the arts, Church-based, finance and education. We hope this information is useful in supporting you and your board.
