23 Nov 2009 Dec 1 decision on Anwar's bid to quash sodomy charge

Opposition Leader Anwar Ibrahim will know on Dec 1 if his bid to quash the sodomy charge at the high court's criminal court is successful.

This is his second attempt to cancel the charge, after failing to do so at the high court's appellate and special powers division.

His lawyer R Sivarasa told the court that the sodomy charge was malicious and cannot be accepted because there is no medical finding as to whether there was penetration.
