In this Adobe Fireworks web design tutorial we create a drop down style navigation menu. This is a perfect solution for a web design beginner who is not comfortable with hand coding HTML, CSS and javascript to create drop down navigation menus. Adobe Fireworks automatically programs all of the HTML, CSS and javascript needed for the menu.

This menu can apply to Fireworks and Dreamweaver CS3, CS4 or CS5. The series covers grapics and slicing in Fireworks, linking and exporting to Dreamweaver.

  • I love your tutorial. Very clear……. Could you tell me how to edit the Navbar after you have placed it in Dreamweaver?

  • @lazlobat Thank you, go to our video list and look for "How to Edit or Update Fireworks After Exporting to Dreamweaver ". That should help you out.

  • The presentation was excellent! Very helpful. There is a slight audio issue. Maybe this was done in a room with hard walls or floors that echo. But this person is a good teacher and communicates well.

  • @TheStillpond Yes, the audio is not Grammy Award winning quality. Thanks for your compliments and I am glad you found the video useful.

  • Jeese Louise.... pick up the phone. You sound like those annoying people who talk on an intercom or blue tooth. Can't you get a little closer to the mic?

  • @CloserExamination Its hard to understand your comment, are you saying the audio is less than adequate? Soon we will redo many of these videos with the current versions of Fireworks and Dreamweaver and the audio will be improved. These were recorded using speakers on a laptop. (By the way, its spelled Geez not Jeeze.)

  • Fuck, I really regret spendig money on those books now...

  • Great video! Thanks and on a side note, I do not get why you would complain about audio quality on a helpful video tutorial like this. My dad always said you never look a gift horse in the mouth and that is exactly what I am seeing. Geez! Keep up the great work.

  • omg thats what i was looking for ! thanks man ! RESPECT NIGGA! peace

  • Nice Tutorial. Can I create a vertical Pop Up menu, with 2,3 tiers, when I follow this exact tutorial, or does this tutorial only work for horizontal navigations, drop down menus?

  • You are welcome. I already have a really nice drop down menu on my first Fireworks web page thanks to this video. And without coding anything!

    Very valuable info.
