Great version but not the original as far as I know. Moon Mullican wrote it and released it in 1951 followed by Hank Williams Sr sometime before his death. He died in 1953 and Johnny Horton released the song in 1959-so Horton could not have been the original of the song. BR-549 released it in 1996. I think some others have also released it and I still prefer the Hank version most but all of them are quite good fun.

This song was covered by BR-549. They did a fabulous job but Johnny Horton's original verion remains unequaled. Great song!
