Neo-CONNED! by Congressman Ron Paul - Part 10 of 11

Ron Paul is not understanding a couple of key concepts. 1) The Neo-Conservatism transformation of the Republican Conservative party was inevitable if the Republican party was to surive. The fact is Neo-Conservatism = Neo Liberalism. 2) Neo Liberalism which stands for big government, welfare state, pre-emptive war, reduction of civil liberties is inevitable due to our corrupt form of capitalsm (true free market capitalsm would not have these problems).

because our current form of capitalism is so perverted and skewed to the benefit of large multinational corporations and the multinational investment bankers, it necessitates a welfare state to counter what would otherwise become an increasingly threatening level of dissent and political unrest. In otherwords, Neo Liberalism appeases the population through expanded services to counter the unfair economic conditions created by our perveted form of capitalism.

just consider all the mom and pop stores that are squeezed out of existance by the WalMarts of the world. Gone are the days for the vast majority of Americans to earn a descent living to raise a family and buy a home and retire without government assistance by just working a 9 to 5 type of job. Job security is a thing of the past and inflation is robbing everyone of their net worth. And now home equity is being swallowed up by depreciating home values.

Neo-conservatism is not truly conservatism OR liberalism. It is a philosophy that combines elements of both sides of the political spectrum to wield great power over the population by expanded government.
The economic consequences you are describing are the RESULT of neoconservative influence, not the inspiration for it.
