SG: U - Destiny

Well here's my fourth upload over the past few months - here's hoping they don't block it or delete it.

In other news, last week I got my hands on the new SG: U pilot and was fricken blown AWAY! Over the past few years I've gotten more and more annoyed by the cardboard characters and obnoxiously repetitive plots that SG-1 and SGA and the movies had descended into.

As mentioned, I'm over twenty years old and I still remember the action, the emotion and the hard-hitting characters seen in the original movie and the first four seasons of SG1. This show wasn't MEANT to be 'family sci-fi' or 'fluffy fiction' and I've been getting sick of fellow nerds and geeks making fun of my addiction to the Stargate series. This show brings it back to its roots and I am much impressed by the action and excitement and depth of character that was seen in this simple two parter ^_^

Anyway, this movie is dedicated to that new series and hope of its future... though, with my luck, it'll probably be canceled after only one or two seasons because the fans are so quick to judge :(

very nice but instead of having Rush say "The name of the ship in the Ancient database... Destiny" at th end, you should have added Col. Young saying "These are the wrong people... in the wrong place." WOulda been much more dramatic o.0

SGU is great, and this is coming from a person who has followed the stargate franchise since the original movie.

Instead of bitching about SGU, finish watching this season and then give your opinion.

Thank you for your opinion - I do appreciate it. Could you do me a favor and not start that argument here though? From what I've seen the fan base is about evenly divided and I don't want my vid to become a battleground :(

It just annoys me when people in a established fan-base dont give a new show with a 'different' direction a fair chance.

Its not fair to judge a series when it is only a few episodes in.

I am also sick of the candy-ass plots they fed us over the last few seasons of SGA and SG1 - I'm ready for a new series. However, not everyone is - I'm not trying to restrict opinions but that's what forums are for - what I'm after is opinions on my vids alone

SGU sucks... at first I thought Bob Cooper would try to mimic BSG and I said 'cool!'.

But... I have gone through 8 episodes so far... I rather watch a security camera of a Pet Zoo...again and again and again... and then paint my eye with garlic lotion every Friday @10pm till they bring re-runs of Sg-1 and SGA after SGU gets cancelled... They are destroying the legacy of Stargate... I didnt even finish episode 8 of SGU... I hope they all die quietly....getaway from my TeLLie!!!
