I'm testing the voltage on the Bosh Coil that supplies the Bosh HEI electronic distributor on my Holden 202 motor

I was testing the coil as per instructions on a website . I admit to being a complete novice so recorded the video to seek help

You can't "Test" a coil that way, that reading means nothing other than the coil is getting power and interrupted ground (which is also normal).

Looks like you are testing charging system. If you are going to show something like this, try to tell us what you are working on: a car? A boat? A tractor, A go cart? No video other than a multi-meter. No views of where the clips are hooked. I will tell you (now) how to test the powerband on a 2 stroke motorcycle: You need a powerband adjusting tool, though. Wanna rent one from me? $20 an hour, 3 hr. minimum. $75 a day. I need make/model/year.
