I just took a couple more Vicodin because the pain started coming back. It is getting pretty wierd now so I figured WTH let's add some Blue Nose Whistle to my old Favorite Alvin Lee song. I saw him live way back when the Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall in Portland Oregon was still named the Paramount Theatre. The Harp is a Dm Natural tuned Lee Oskar "green dot" which are labled in the 2nd position; so kids don't try this at home unless your harp is tuned in the natural minor tuning. Minor Blues like this are sublime and tend to invoke sad feelings. I thought a nose whistle would add a nice touch. This is the result of my 2nd dose of Vicodin for the day. I loved playing my nose whistle this Blue Tuesday April 1st 2K9 since I am feeling like an "April Fool" on this monumental day of taking Narcotics to help keep the pain away.
I thought the first was on Tuesday but it was Wednesday. I lost a whole day that week to the Blues and Pain from illness and torn hamstring. I learned the following day of the Death of a friend who had at one time been my DBT Therapist. Now I really have some more reason to sing and play the Blues.
Here are the Lyrics to the song:
_______________________
I couldn't wait to see you - waiting by the door
There's no one there to meet me - and your clothes are on the floor
Sorry if I hurt you - and I made you cry
Couldn't stand to see you - with another guy
It's the bluest blues - and it cuts me like a knife
It's the bluest blues - since you walked out of my life
Couldn't really tell you - how you hurt my pride
Something broke within me - down inside
I never knew I loved you - til you went away
Now the loneliness surrounds me - everyday
It's the bluest blues - since you walked out of the door
It's the bluest blues - cause I won't see you no more
I'm sorry if I failed you - if somehow I'm to blame
It's the bluest blues I'm feeling - it's a cryin' shame
I just can't live without you - face another day
It's the bluest blues I'm feeling, and it's here to stay
It's the bluest blues, and it cuts me to the bone
It's the bluest blues, when you can't find your way home

Again Q great playing definitely like blues style harp playing then rock for sure it seem like you got alot more room for different things with the harp then you do when playing rock.
Thanks agian!

My feelings on Blues Harp vrs Rock Harp Exactly Tom. Most rock is at a faster tempo and requires you to be more refined and focused in your playing to stay on track. The Blues and Harmonica are like a "Marriage Made In Heaven" because of how the Harp can express with it's many "voicings"...

To me even gospel type music kind of plays along with this because I have seem about 1/2 dozen different versions of Amazing Grace played on the harmonica all sound great but all sounded different at the same time if you know what I mean.

Keep in mind Tom, that a great portion of Blues were "born", if you will, in influence from Gospel music. Gospel Music has had influence in a great majority of musical styles.

I am planning on mixing this one more layer with me using the Dm along with my High G Bushman to scream out a few more notes on the high end harmony. It makes a real killer mashup of non-standard tuned non-Hohner improv. 1st position on the LO Dm is actually Gm(d.) and 2nd position is Dm(N). The high G can harmonize nice with the high lead guitar in the song. The Dm can hit some of the notes and OB's pretty good on 7-10 but the Bushman high G adds way more color to the song.
