I fished off Gouster MA for 15 years...it is those who catch and kill fish under 250 lbs even a 300 lb fish probably should be released...and I agree the Japanese do long line fishing and catch Tuna by the thousand ton....they do not accurately
-
report their catch totals and often ignore quotas set by international fishing....unfortunately if we stup to their levels the fish Giant Bluefin tunas will soon be extinct and no one will have to worry about the species any more..telling some to get a life shows your class and how ignorant you are to preserving the Tuna population and tuna stock
-
@keithn965 GUYS LIKE THIS ARENT KILLING THE SPECIES THEY CATCH MAYBE 1 LIKE THIS EVERY MONTH WHERE THE FUCKING JAPPS USE HUGE TROLLERS AND KILL THOUSANDS EVERYDAY GET A FUCKING LIFE

Yeah it was, 7:30am to 4:15pm, pretty insane. You can see the light tackle that we had for a fish that size. Since then my dad and I have dropped $4k in heavier rods and reels.

actually the drag was as tight as it could get. Towards the end of the video you can really hear the line being stretched and grinding on the reel because it is so tight. The pole was too long and not stiff enough so it would bend too much when your trying to turn the fish's head. We were trying to get football tuna which would have been great on that light tackle. The fish was too big for tackle like that. We have since bought heavier rods and reels in case we hook up to a big one.
