  • I just got this fryer and it's been very good so far. Haven't tried the turkey yet but the fish and chips are good eats. I'm wondering if anyone knows if storing the peanut oil in a generic plastic container (cereal container) is safe and ok to do. Is it possible for the oil to leak through it?

  • I love this fryer!!!!!!! i got my new one yesterday and it is wonderful :)

  • I got my fryer at QVC they have them on special. I just used mine for Christmas and the turkey turned out fabulous. Juicy not dry and definetly not oily. I was shocked. It was very easy to do. Just know that it really doesn't take long to fry so keep an eye on it. I got the 20 lb. XL model and cooked a 16 lb turkey in it, a small portion of the breast wasn't covered bye the oil but I flipped it and that worked. I think a littlem more oil would have done the trick but I was all out.

  • I got one of those fryers for $109.99 at Sears.

  • Waiting for this item to arrive. Had to get it on Ebay as it was not available where I live. This video was a big help & we appreciate being able to see the fryer & how it functions before we use it.

  • How Many Cook Times.

4 to 6 Turkeys with the same oil. Oil can break down depending on the seasonings used and over-heating the oil. This unit won't overheat the oil. When you drain the oil, strain it or don't allow the sediments in the bottom of pot to go into the jug, This will help.

    Storage.

Place the jugs in a cool place in the house this will help shelf life. As far as how long to keep the oil. Big ? It goes back to how many times you cook with the same oil. Check oil packaging.

  • Target is selling them for $118 online.

  • I am really interested in purchasing one of these for our family gatherings - but the Masterbuilt website has targeted price at under $120 - but no one is selling them for that price....
