Milking doesn't hurt the cow..if it did, then cows probably wouldn't let their calfs do it to them! It actually hurts them if they are not milked, because than they have to lug around gallons of milk. One gallon of milk weighs 8.6 pounds, and cows can give on average 4-12 gallons a day..its much better for them to relieve this weight than carry it.

@iceman28m but you know what really mess up... some dairy owners milk them three times a day which in my point of view thats a lot of pain for them... well that happens where i work...

@HANNAHCASH99 milking a cow is actually good for it and they also enjoy it because otherwise they have to lug around 5 gallons all day which is painful to say the least.
