ACE! was the heart and soul of KISS! yes gene and paul wrote most songs which were saved a lot of time by ACE'S soloing! and peter was the older one who who could be glue when he wasnt pissed off!

Ace made up his own mind to be a on his own and lead his own band. He does'nt want to be in KISS anymore. His album is great as well as Sonic Boom!
