princess I am 32, i am telling you the 80's rocked. And its not like the world was great or anything, in fact the economy was in the tank. But being a kid at that time was fun. I remember thinking Nickalodeon was so amazing because it had shows only for kids. That was revolutionary back then. You used to only be able to watch cartoons on sat morning and for a few hours after school. They were not on at any other times.

@imaimmiami I agree, things were fun during that time. I was pretty young at the time (I'm part of the same generation as you, but the younger periphery), but I remember a lot of things then that were great, such as the toys, cartoons (kids today wouldn't understand Saturday morning cartoons), and most importantly, playing outside and using your imagination (no T-Rex to trample your Lego city? No problem, the teddy bear worked just fine). One thing though, the economy in the late 80s was great.

I loved Jem and The Holgrams! It airs on Teletoon Retro every weekend. The 80's were great that was when cartoons were decent and interesting. Not the junk they have now where they bastardize Transformers and GIJoe. Ug, and My Little Pony. I'm 30, and I want my cartoons and my toys back
