i was so happy for meb. he really deserves it...such an underdog. while everybody is touting how hall may be the next saviour of american distance running, this guy stays quiet and puts his heart and soul into the sport. don't get me wrong, i think ryan's a tremendous athlete and he is one of the strongest americans we've seen in this distance but the media LOVES to make "poster children" out of mostly reluctant people for things they don't understand.

I know it's been 2 years since you posted that comment, but since then Ryan Hall has withdrawn from the Chicago Marathon, DNF'd from the Olympic marathon, and withdrawn from the NYC marathon.... so we'll see....
