Am I the only one astonished that an apparent ''filler'' song from a childrens' show with people dressed like animals OBLITERATES the songs of today? All the thugs'n'sluts all thumpin and'a'gruntin has left me in poverty, besides the fact ANYBODY could do better with a little more talent and a little less ATTITUDE.Thanks so much for a song I remembered a third of a century later.

I found out who wrote this, but i'm trying to find who SANG it. Fantastic voice.

Thanks for posting. I remembered this song from long ago, and knew that someone would have it here. Yes, it may be a "filler," but it blows away most of today's sonic manipulation that passes for music.

Get Drooper at the end: "You're too kind, too kind."
One thing's for sure: No way Paul Winchell(Drooper), Daws Butler(Bingo) and Allan Melvin(Fleagle) sounded like that.

Could this possibly be the Mothers of Invention, with Ray Collins handling vocals? Good gods, it sounds for all the world like one of the deceptively "straight" songs on "Freak Out", e.g.,"Any Way The Wind Blows"!

This has been an underrated song, and a great harpsichord intro.
This is a great song and I'm glad you posted it. I listened to it after losing my house & for a while I was inconsolable. But the song did help...it has a positive message.
