Some time ago I set up a 1970s television camera in the backyard with a 170 mm lens, and three two-times range extenders stacked between it and the head (making it into a 1360 mm lens), and aimed it at the moon, filming it as it moved past and/or the Earth rotates (depending on your point of view). I took the output from the green tube, to use as a monochrome image, and fed it into a video capture card on the PC.
This video is the result, showing the moon moving through the field of view while the camera was fixed in one position. Unfortunately, the animation runs at over double normal speed, due to some quirk with the video capture card. Other than that speed issue, you're seeing the procession of the moon through the sky as it happens.
