i love this song, I just finished watching teh movie yesterday, i absolutely love that wonderful film, since that, I've really gotten into her singing, I've always thought she had a meek, sweet, singing style, but, darn, after that movie, i learned she's got a pretty powerful set of lungs there, lmao, she sounds once in a while, when she really projects it. I especially loved her in Shaking the Blues Away, would that have that on youtube?

It is such a great movie... she really deserved at least an oscar nomination for it. Meek is not a word I associate with Doris - musically or personality wise. She can belt them out ... or sing a ballad better than anyone. But .. I guess you can tell I'm a dayniac ! thanks ... happy you enjoyed... hope you'll check out some of her many songs I have posted.

well, i guess you're right, I mean, I'm not very familiarized with Doris Day, perhaps I should've used a different word or approach, I meant how at sometimes in her songs, she has this very soothing and soft melodic tone, not in this song that much, but do you get what i mean? I just didn't listen to enough songs to realized that she could indeed, as you say, belt them out! haha

I do know what you mean ... she is one of the best at singing a romantic ballad... I guess I just don't think of her as meek ! lol

But ... she really can lay one out there too.

She's quite versatile. I have to say I love her romantic ballads best though.
