Laparoscopic Cholecystectomy is the gold standard for the treatment of gall stone disease. The operation is routinely performed using four or three ports of entry into the abdomen. At Laparoscopy Hospital Prof. Dr. R.K. Mishra frequently perform Laparoscopic Cholecystectomy by Two Ports. We have developed a new technique of performing two port cholecystectomy with the help of modified extra corporeal Meltzer's knot. With this technique we can give traction over the gallbladder in any direction for proper exposure. This new innovative two-port method of gallbladder removal can be used only for simple uncomplicated cholelithiasis cases by experienced surgeon, but it has definite advantage over conventional four port cholecystectomy. Detail of this technique can be seen at http://laparoscopyhospital.com/SERV02.HTM

  • at least try to aspirate bile first before puncturing the gall bladder

  • I just had my gallbladder removed 6 hours ago and thank God it was NOT done this way. I feel great. I would rather have 4 small ports in my belly than go through this mess!! I'm no doctor but that sure looked sloppy...and all that bile leakage. Why is this even on here?? It doesn't make this procedure look good at all...WOW.

  • Too sloppy to become a routine procedure. I think 3-port single incision is by the the most interesting method.

  • one of the worst cholecystectomies i have ever seen,

  • dont see any advantage, not a fan

  • Bile leak and unlear View for what? 1 cm more for 2 5mm ports?? I dont agree with this technique

  • It's defenetely not safe. The dissection isn't under direct visualisation... I would not recommend it..
