alison is not focus beside holding your clicker for too long with the v bar system its tiring for all archers and even competition they can be tired or she doesn't have confidence for the bd shots if you watch and watch all over she sorta jumps like the firsst end her elbow droped and pushed upvery fast
i shot with bunch of canadian archer i met the canadian coach and a korean girl
they all said at 90 m you have to have mental focus if dun focus you could have target panic i didn't shoot for 2 months and i had target panic no shaking nor nothing its just that i wasn't focus and i wasn't used to shooting the target again] sometimes alot of ppl have target panic at 90 cause they aren;t focusing or loose confidence
rachoDV is correct in his assessment of the target panic problem. Having shot with Rick Mckinney who also had the same problem, that is how he dealt with it. By waiting until he only had about ten seconds per arrow and then force himself to shoot quickly. Also at the last olympics, Vic wonderle did the same thing as he had the same problem. It forces you to just go thru the motion of the form and not concentrate on getting your sight on the gold.
I know a few elite archers with this symptom - waiting when time is short - and I know that isn't waiting for relaxing or stop wind, believe me :-) or ask good coach about that. I like Alison and I like Natalia. They are elite archers long, long time.
Thanks for discussion and sorry about my English :-)
In my reply, I described accurately the symptoms that show the archer having target panic.
Allison pulling the bow when the timer is at 14 seconds is NOT indicative of whether she actually does have target panic or not. perhaps she's taking her time to relax herself first? Perhaps she's waiting for the wind to die down? there are countless other reasons why she starts pulling only at 14s.
i'm not saying natalia's bad, i'm saying your analysis that allison has target panic is inaccurate.
