Airportlink Tunnel Boring Machine Time lapse

In April 2011 we installed a time lapse camera in the Kedron tunnel to capture the TBM working its way through to its final destination. The Time lapse system needed to be almost bomb proof to keep out all the fine dust and other environmental factors, after all we only got one chance to capture the sequence so the system needed to be 100% reliable. Using and Elevated work platform we mounted the system to roof of the tunnel which gave us the best view of the TBM coming towards the camera and then flipping it around to show the sheer size of the machine as it moved its way through the cavern. This time lapse sequence was created to showcase the size of the tunnel boring machine drilling through the Kedron tunnels on the Airport Link Project.
