Yma Sumac sings "Wayra - Dance of the Winds" from her album "Voice of the Xtabay."
A wonderful track with a delightful rhythm and whimsical melody -- all, of course, supplemented by Yma Sumac's incredible 4 1/2 octave voice. Listening to this aria, it is easy for one to understand why it is called the "Dance of the Winds," and why Yma Sumac -- that beautiful Incan princess of song -- was called "The Nightingale of the Andes."
