This is something I've been wondering for a while. Video games back then were so much easier to get excited about. What has changed? Like I say in the video, I know I'm not speaking for everyone, and if you disagree with me, that's fine.

  • What about the Super Nintendo?

  • @sobeAdam Without a doubt, the SNES was classic as well and had its own share of great games.

For some reason, though, the Nintendo 64 was the first console to come to mind when thinking about this. I guess it's because I was so unbelievably excited for the N64. Words can't express my excitement when the N64 was announced and the screenshots of games that followed.

  • I totally understand where you're coming from. I personally believe it's the lack in variety on consoles like the Xbox and PS3. Every bloody game is either about war or zombies or sports, and those things just aren't original anymore!

  • @PlumbobMillionaire That could be it, too. Never thought of that.

  • aaaah starfox, my favorite gamme of the 64 XD (even though super mario was a lot better, i never got my hands on it...=/ )

  • @TheTechnoChimp Haha, yeah. Starfox was sick.

I remember wanting to get out of the jets in multiplayer so badly, and when I did, it was awesome. :-)

  • This applies to me in practically every way. :D

  • The only games I'm still interested in on consoles are really the Zelda series and the Super Smash Bros games. I'll try some of the others that have been recommended to me, like Halo, but the ones I mentioned are really the only ones I'll go out of my way to buy.

  • That's what the fuck Im saying man, I swear video games have totally lost their essence. It seems like today all these games are basing the quality on how it looks, instead of the fun factor of the game. The only game I feel in recent years I couldn't wait to come out was GTA San Andreas, the day we heard that we were going to have a black protagonist in a GTA game, that was a day a happiness and jizzum. Fuck the day Obama had got into office, this day was greater.

  • my dad his been a gamer since the Atari came out until today

  • I remember flipping out in the video rental store when first saw Double Dragon III. Different times man, different times...
