  • i am very proud that us palauans have kept our culture alive for thousands of years in the most accurate fashion. i hope that we keep it up. for those wondering, the last dance is a modern dance, having sprung in the japanese era and american eras with the attempt at imitating the military marches of the two powers. the other dances however, are styles that have been preserved for thousands of years. let us continue to keep our culture and heritage alive! long live the motherland!

  • @teetalovespeace i realize im replying to a very old comment, but i feel it is important that i do because of the nature of the question. yes, kiribati is the only micronesian ethnic group that would have a "hula" form of dance. although it isn't called a hula, it is very similar. the hula is a polynesian form of dance, and because kiribati is indeed very close to polynesia, it is natural that they would have a hula like dance style.

  • go Uroi Salii!!!! very unique and beautiful dance!!! i think this is called lalangluoi (?) its a women dance, dont know about the second dance (with the man talking during the dance). love from new zealand!!!
