  • Next time call the Dutch :-)

  • @thadd05 No, that is not really accurate. Most of New Orleans was built in drained marshland that by its very nature would be at sea level or below. LiDAR elevation surveys confirm that significant portions of the city, in particular those that flooded during Katrina, lie below the mean sea level.

  • @tacossssssssss that's the US-Mexico border?

  • its exactly same or below sea level thats crazy

  • @Snowwie88 In the long run the Dutch won't be able to stop flooding either. It is not just sea water but also water from the rivers Rhein and Meuse that will get them swimming in the end. 17.000.000 people of which 10.000.000 living below sea level.

  • In The Netherlands we have "dijken" which are strong and protect the lower lands, but sometimes if there is a dry period, the dijk is weaker than the water, and then the water comes through..

  • New Orleans was built on Cypress Swamp..Metaire Kenner and New Orleans was all Cypress Swamp before they drained it..

  • @MaximusOwnz babbled about, "Americans are dumb-shits! They wouldnt know a joke even if it washed up half of new-orleans!!"

As ignorant as the majority of you mid-pubescent hatemongers are, you just might be partially onto something there. It's true Americans sometimes don't get the punch-line of the grade school jokes which are a staple of your conversational skills. We tend to concentrate more on stuff like proper capitalization (New Orleans) & correct punctuation (There's no hyphen in it).

  • This MUST be a fake photoshop job. Literally hundreds of CONspiracy-Theorists have proven again & again, using their Master Doctorate of Professional Professors of Secret Levee Demolition Science degrees, it's IMPOSSIBLE for water higher than a levee to over-top it. With only an itty-bitty Masters, I'm not qualified to understand the highly complicated data they use to show this fact. Something about levees built by COE breaks, not over-tops, even with water 10 feet higher than the top of levee.

  • @TheKiki1499 You can come now since hurricane season is about to start and you don't want to be here when it's hurricane season because then... there's flooding!
