It's Aliiiiiive - in Bm

My wonderful ASH Customworks guitar has been rather non-functional (electronically) for a while, which has made me most sad. Thanks to a friend I met through twitter (yay twitter!) it is now working again! He tracked it down to a fault in the preamp, Adrian from Ash Customworks sent me a replacement, plugged it in and it's aliiiiiiiiiive! :-D

For this video (dodgy as it is, as I haven't played all that much lately) I used my AMT Electronics California Sound, and impulse reponses of a Matchless Chieftain and a Marshall JCM2000

T'was easy to track down the fault with the sillyscope. Mind, I'm still puzzling over exactly why the preamp shat itself, but for now, I'm sticking with the 'low battery causing nonlinearity & resultant distortion induced voltage spikes damaging a capacitor' theory. I *was* seeing a DC offset in the output, so a DC blocking capacitor in the output definitely was hosed (shorted); how that came to be is a bit of a mystery. Oh well, she's-a-fix and all is right in the world!
